101 DAYS is a work I made for the starting wall of the drill of the new Metro line, de Noord / Zuidlijn.
I collected every photo published by news agencies worldwide, on a daily basis for 101 days and created some sort of order in the vast chaos, resulting in a film consisting of almost 5 million photo’s.
Single film, 14’15, loop, color, stereo sound, projection size 20 x 15 m.
Locatie: Caisson 1 – De verzonken kathedraal
101 Days is een filminstallatie speciaal gemaakt voor Caisson 1, de startschacht van de boor van de Noord/Zuid lijn te Amsterdam.
Om de film te zien mag je afdalen in deze enorme betonnen ruimte met kathedrale akoestiek, waar inmiddels de nieuwe metro doorheen raast.
